FIRST TIME

It's your first time in Holbox and you have no idea what to do ...

 

Here we share some activities per day that can help you decide and above all show you everything that can be done on this wonderful island.

Day 1

  • Start your day early 8 am

  • Have breakfast at one of these two restaurants, Casa Tortugas or Painaple.

  • Come back and get ready to be at the beach all day.

  • go to Hotel Las Nubes. They have a great Beach Club where you can spend all day sunbathing and letting yourself be pampered by the Las Nubes staff.

  • Already with a little sunscreen get ready for the walk, in front of the Hotel las Nubes the sandbank begins, it has an extension of more than 1 kilometer and you can walk as if you were in the middle of the sea. The views are spectacular so you cannot forget your camera.

  • Once back, relax and enjoy the hotel kitchen or just refresh yourself.

  • Before sunset, we recommend that you walk back a little to the Hotel Villas Tiburon (no more than 10 min). At the top is Alma Bar, From this wonderful place enjoy the sunset.

  • After sunset returns to Aurora and take a good bath.

  • For dinner go for some tacos at Maiztro and enjoy the nightlife of the central square.

Day 2

  • Breakfast at the Limoncito restaurant just a block and a half from AURORA.

  • Once you finish breakfast, just two blocks away are the friends from Bike Holbox, rent a bike and embark on the adventure of exploring the streets, once you have your bike, return to AURORA and get ready to go out and see Punta Coco.

  • The route is simple, you have to go to the southwest. But easier follow the next map and you will not get lost.  MAP

  • Once in Punta Coco, leave your bike with a lock somewhere that don't get in the way, find a place to stay on the beach, you can rent a hammock, a palapa with a lounge chair or just lie down anywhere.

  • Once installed, walk the entire beach, go to the tip of the island, explore the entire area.

  • To eat, we recommend two options, Carolinda Beach Club or the AWA Hotel which is next door. In both places we recommend that you watch the sunset.

  • Come back and take a refreshing bath.

  • For dinner, a must-see on the island,  Viva Zapata Restaurant.

Day 3

  • Schedule with us the day before one of the wonderful tours that the island has to offer (kayak tour, horseback riding, tour of the 3 islands, tequila catamaran ride, etc.)

  • Start the day early, have a quick and light breakfast at Complemento Café or Another Clandestino can be a good option if you are looking for something cheap.

  • Get ready for one of the tours you have previously booked.t ready for one of the tours you have pre-booked.

  • After your walk you can enjoy the beach, we recommend you go to El Velero Beach Club, the Velero staff will be happy to assist you.

  • Our recommendation for dinner, El Crustáceo Kascarudo. 100% local with excellent cuisine.

  • Walk further through the main square at night, and you will certainly need to go up to the terrace of the Hotel Arena. Here you will find the Arena Bar, where you can enjoy a spectacular view while having a good drink or beer.

  • Finally, before resting, you cannot stop trying the marquesitas or one of the delicious Italian ice creams that are available in the main square.
